Types of Exercise Bikes
Do you even bother to know the two main types of exercise bikes? They are the upright stationary bicycles and the recumbent bikes. So, what are these two? The recumbent bikes are those exercise bicycles usually used by woman and elderly people, or those used in the parks for social fun and dates, while the upright bikes are used by the athletes in their race.
The advantage of both is that they are giving fun while exercising. As many exercise bicycles reviews say, exercise helps people achieve wellness, which is the balance of physical, mental, emotional, and social. There are a lot of exercises you may engage with but with exercise equipments, maintaining your body’s fitness is much more effective. In terms of prices, well these two maybe comparable but choose the bike that suits you best like if you are a passionate biker, then might as well choose the upright bike. The disadvantages however, is that upright bikes are more dangerous for children and elderly to ride aside from its uncomfortable hard seat. Why? Because it is design to have a fast speed sustain mile-travelling. Upright bikes need a lot of practice and mastery for these people. Upright bikes are also very expensive when you decide to add-on gadget needed during your exercise/travel with your peers. When you are a biker, you will need a gadget wherein you can measure your speed per kilometre, a stopwatch and the most important is having a light and not a heavy bike. Research shows that biking miles support your stamina and is very effective in reducing weight. Bikers are usually are physically fit, no wonder.
People do have the freedom to choose their preference on what bicycle to ride. Recumbent bicycle is easy to use compared to the upright bicycle. Though, both are for exercise purposes but in order to be totally physically fit, upright bikes is more effective. Recumbent bicycle has a comfortable seat, back support and it is also adjustable. Exercise recumbent bicycles are more advisable when it comes to family get together/ bonding, or socializing with friends and lovers. In here you will be in a reclined position, with your legs in front of you and back supported! Not dangerous for children ages 7 years old and above. For those children aged two years old or below 7 years old, mother or father may accompany them. They may choose the two seat capacity recumbent bike. But for elderly people with complicated heart problems and children with asthma, they are not advice to ride one. For too much happiness and too much sadness may trigger their sickness.
Riding a bicycle support not only fun but close family ties, experiences, memories, passion and most especially, wellness! You can’t say that you are well because you are healthy; instead you are healthy because you are well! People may be physically healthy but not mentally or emotionally well.
